Tampa, FL – Erick Mears, DVM, DACVIM has been named Medical Director at Florida Veterinary Specialists & Cancer Treatment Center (FVS), in Tampa, Brandon and Clearwater. He will continue his work as an Internal Medicine Specialist at FVS. Dr. Mears received his Bachelors of Science from Stanford University in 1988. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Tuskegee University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. He completed his post-DVM education at the University of Tennessee with small animal internship, internal medicine residency and Associate Professor in 1997. Dr. Mears is a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine. He is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
Former Medical Director, Neil Shaw, DVM, DACVIM is now the Chief Medical Officer of FVS and the brand new facility NYC Veterinary Specialists & Cancer Treatment Center, in New York City.
